Must have been in the works already, as I thought he was one of the better Flames last night.

not surprising given Peters comments awhile back. I think Frolik's injury bought him some time

Thought he was playing decent but it'll be good for him to get some scoring in down in the AHL.

Good move all things considered. Didn't think he looked about of place up here, but a bit of time to fine-tune will do him the world of good.

Dube has had an excellent showing in the NHL. I look forward to watching him play in Calgary again soon. For now its time to see if other prospects can score at the NHL level.

Plus they need roster space for Nylander.

I don’t hate the move. I think he could use a little bit of time in bigger situations.

I don't think it's the right short term move but it's likely for the best long term.
Dubé has brought a bunch of energy ever night and it's clear to me that he will be better than the average bottom 6er. Hopefully he can round out his game then be ready to come back up for the playoffs later this year.

Guess this means Frolik is healthy?
I don't disagree with the decision. I think Dube's NHL-quality right now, but I think he's got more scoring in him. Let him tear up the AHL for 3/4 of a season and work on a few things, and he'll be ready to play a bigger role next year.

He's going to be an NHLer but it's never a bad thing to go to a situation where he plays lots of minutes as a go to guy. I don't know if playing 8-9 minutes a night in the NHL is the greatest thing for development for a 20 year old player.

It'll be interesting to see if Lomberg stays up or not, maybe Peluso will come back from his conditioning stint.

Gives him the opportunity to absolutely crush it in the AHL and gain experience in the pro game. His baptism in the bigs was a little harsh.

This is the right move. Dube's play has dropped off from what it was at the beginning of the season. The injuries probably had a lot to do with it. Having him play less than 10 minutes on the 4th line is not great for his development. Playing 20 minutes on the 1st or 2nd line in the AHL should be good for him.

He was to week on the puck and didn’t shoot when he had the chance. Plain and simple. Maybe he will develop more in the Ahl maybe not.

It was clear he wasn't fully ready for the physicality/timing of the NHL. He was losing puck battles and getting bumped off pucks way too easily. Time in the AHL will be good for him.

Thought he was good in the NHL and showing some progression as well. Ultimately this is probably best for his development though. Dube can be a top 6 player. We don't need to groom him to be an energy player.
