What the hell is a ham flake?
KD I put in different cheeses (like brie and other imported cheeses) and my god is it good.

KD - Ketchup. Or, if I'm feeling really unhealthy - chopped up hotdogs.
In KD Alfredo - little cubes of ham - none of that flaked garbage, the real thing :P
Ichiban - I'm always given a hard time for this, but I crunch up the noodles first, strain them, then add a wee bit of that disgusting salt they include in the packet. Yum.

since i never have milk or butter for KD (who does?), i use salsa mixed with the cheese sauce. or ready-made pasta sauce if you have no salsa.
ichiban i take the usual way, it is meant to be.

Mozza on Ichiban? Do you drain the soup first? Seems like it would be nasty otherwise...
Sesame oil works great with Ichibad to add some taste.... I have some frozen won tons I can toss in to make it a complete meal, along with tossing in some frozed Green Giant veggies.

Yes I also add an egg to my Sapporo Ichy-bum....I hate KD with a passion. Being Italian with the real thing for dinner every night, my stomach can't handle that imitation garbage!

yeah, KD was originally a sidedish, kinda like the noodles/sauce stuff etc. on the market these days.
but i used it as a meal, it is a poor substitute - just empty and cheap calories.

My favorite soup from my college days:
Make one can of Cambell's Tomato Soup. Add one packet of Ichiban, including spices. Makes a damn tasty tomato-noodle soup.

You just crack one or two into the water while it's boiling. Doesn't matter if the noodles are in there or not. Good stuff.
Also good to add to ichiban:
frozen peas and/or corn
leftover chicken/ham
chopped carrots and/or onions
Turns it into a stew. Yum.
What an awesome off topic CPuck thread. I love this board!
