Default Missing Hockey Cards?

(Mods: If this isn't allowed, pls just delete)

Anyone here missing or know of someone missing a large collection of hockey cards? CPS has found a bunch, and is looking for the owner. From their FB Page:

Sometime in the past few weeks, an observant citizen spotted this binder full of hockey card collectibles abandoned in a city green space. They subsequently turned the item in at a District office where one of our Auxiliary members working the front counter, in consultation with the District crime analyst, have been trying to solve the case but they're coming up empty. It appears that the owner/victim has never filed a lost or stolen report for this property, making it difficult if not impossible for us to return it to them.

We often hear people say things like "it's not worth anything", "I didn't think you'd ever find it", or "I figured police have better things to do." If you don't report it, we can't help. Thankfully, we've made reporting easy as basic lost or stolen reports can be submitted online here: http://bit.ly/15KNbeS

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact our non-emergency line at 403-266-1234, or provide a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers:
TALK: 1-800-222-8477

I lost that Macinnis card when I was a kid. Glad it was found and turned in. Be right there.

Yeah, was gonna say. Proset and Score? That binder is probably worth $10. And $8 of that is the pages themselves.

That said, it was the golden era of card collecting for kids. You could actually complete a set with your allowance. Until Upper Deck came along and started the trend of massively inflating the cost of the hobby.

Turns out I have that exact same Blaster Al Macinnis card. Bottom row middle of the picture on the left in the OP.

A friend of mine stored his cards at a relatives house and they disappeared. I'll pass this into to him.

That entire binder might be worth $5. and that's for the $5 binder.

Opportunity for witty quips and monetary valuations aside none of us can gauge the potential sentimental value to the owner. OP did take the time and effort to reach out to this community in order to facilitate the return of someone properly, let’s refrain from derailing it overmuch.

If that's a flames-only collection, it could be worthwhile, even if only for archival value.

And there's the possibility there are some older cards in there too.

I'm going to guess the owner is a white male between the ages of 34 and 42.
