Gaudreau's diet is terrible
Yesterday on HNIC after hours Monahan talked about both his own and Johnny's poor eating habits. But it was the extremes of Johnny that really stuck out to me.
Before we get into that lets look at some of the history of Johnny's poor eating habits. We'll start with a quote from his former USHL coach, Jim Montgomery
There is also that interview with Cabbie from TSN with a direct quote from Johnny
Gaudreau -
Another quote from Johnny
Quote:
|
"When I was in college I’d just get ham and cheese on, like, wheat bread,” Gaudreau admitted sheepishly with a chuckle. “I’d take it to the locker room and eat it. I’d eat it seven days a week, every day. Before practice, I’d come in with my ham-and-cheese sandwich."
|
Johnny on eating new foods on the China trip -
Quote:
|
"I’ll probably stick more to my diet,” Gaudreau said, chuckling. “I’m a pretty picky eater, so I’ll probably just stick to pasta, chicken and rice. But maybe I’ll try some different food, who knows."
|
Bennett has also been quoted as saying Gaudreau has the worst eating habits on the team.
Which finally brings us to what Monahan said yesterday.
Monahan said they're both picky eaters. They have a routine where they both order a plain cheese pizza after road games.
Johnny was apparently invited to Sean Kelso for dinner and he declined saying
Quote:
|
"There is nothing you could possibly make me that I could eat"
|
Monahan then said
Quote:
|
"He likes his pasta, doesn't want any sauce on it, just butter"
|
Can you imagine if this guy ate better?

FYI it was Margarita pizza, not cheese pizza as a post-game meal sometimes if they don't like what's being served

Why are you making a mountain out of a mole hill.
Monahan did not say they order a pizza after every game. He said that was an exaggeration.

And why is he making a possessive out of a molehill, too?

Hasn't someone posted something like this a while ago already? Or my memory is playing tricks on me again.

I hate threads like this.
Johnny is a special player. If he continues to put on a clinic on the ice every night, he can eat whatever the hell he wants.

Meh, by the time these poor eating habits catch up to Gaudreau and the Garbage Man, they probably won't be Flames anyway. Let them eat cake.

In before the lock. Hasn't this already been discussed to death on another thread? Johnny's eating habits aren't great. Big deal. At least change the thread title? You can't own the tendency to eat bad food. Gaudreau has a terrible diet, or Gaudreau's diet is terrible, not a Frankenstein baby of both.

The thread title alone is going to make Textcritic's temples hurt.

How has nobody mentioned the horrible contraction use in the thread title?
Gaudreau is has a terrible diet?
Going by those rules, I guess Zoller is uses terrible grammar.

Call up Andrew Mangiapane. He apparently got Rasmus Andersson on track. Maybe he can room with Johnny.

Who cares what either player eats? It’s an individual choice and they are adults. It just doesn’t matter.

This doesn’t improve the thread.
Gaudreau is tied for 5th in the league in points. He can eat tin cans if he wants.
