Retro Jerseys 50 cheaper at sports check and Jersey City

Just a public service announcement for those who are looking to buy. Flamesport for some reason is 299 vs 250 at the other stores. Seems ridiculous.

Sportchek and Jersey City only seem to have Gaudreau available online for the retro jerseys. Does anyone know if it's different in store?

I'm considering Monahan or Gio or Backlund, but not sure I want the $50 premium to buy from Flamesport.

Looks like they're all the same price for unlettered though.

I don't think it's an excuse to charge 50 dollars extra (especially if you're buying the same player) but to each their own.

It usually has to do with the quality of the numbering job.

The jersey city / sport check ones come right from the NHL factory and the name bar and numbering are usually heat pressed on.

The Fan Attic ones are usually stitched from Great Plains who do the official stitching for the Flames, and the numbers and name bar are usually stitched on and a much better quality.

I know this was the case with the Reebok jerseys from Jersey City, Champs, Sport Chek, compared to ones from the Fan Attic but haven't checked with the Adidas jerseys if it's the same situation.

I can't speak for sports check but the name and numbers are stitched at Jersey city. I do only see Gaudreau though. I wonder if the flamesport store will price match another player.

I was at Sunridge last night and checked the Sport Chek. The only retros they had were lettered with Gaudreau's name and number (I don't think they had any blanks) and they were all the low-quality single-layer letters with the yellow edge printed onto a white piece of fabric.

They were stitched onto the jersey and not heat-pressed, so they had that going for them, but still not as nice as the ones from the Flames store. Plus, at the Flames store, you can get any player you want.


I also walked past the Jersey City and it looked like they had the same stuff.

$300 bucks for an Adidas jerseys is just absolutely ridiculous. Why are the jerseys so much more expensive then the old reebok jerseys? I used to buy a Reebok jersey fully stitched with player/numbers for $189

So, the same crappy lettering as Sport Chek. So, it's a better deal than Sport Chek if you're okay with that.

Damn that's really disappointing, the lettering they do in house is top notch

EDIT: They specifically say they're lettered from the Adidas factory, so yeah it's the exact ones other stores have for premade ones so far. I'm personally going to wait until they have blank ones in stock and get Lindholm on it

Ok thanks for the info I'll definitely just them out. I'm a jersey hound. Been collecting for over 25 years since a kid/teen I own over 200 jerseys
