PuppetGuy, that is incredibly well done!!! I know you can't do them for every game, so I'm going to savor the ones we do get. Great job!! Scorch for the win tonight

If the Flames need to muscle up to play against this Canucks line-up they will have to keep Prout in against the 16-20 teams that are bigger and tougher.

The Canucks line-up is not at all physically intimidating.

I was thinking the same thing. Apart from Guddy, the Nucks don't have anymore team toughness than we do in my opinion.

I would like to think if Prout does draw in it has more to do with him being able to contribute as a NHL defenseman than as a catalyst for a more “physical” response. He looked okay in the preseason. Here’s hoping he can carry that over.

*EDIT*
With that said I still hope Andersson cements himself in the lineup by the time Hamonic is back.

That really sucks. Does CBC still stream games? They used to when I lived in Europe a few years ago.

Honestly I'm hoping to see some guys respond to wounded pride tonight.

Its bad enough to lose like that in Vancouver but they'd better come ready to play tonight.

Then again its our Home Opener which, other than the first game of the season or any game in Anaheim is basically 'Guaranteed Loss Night.'

Ugh....we're going to hand Vancouver 4 free points right from the start.

The Flames won their home opener last season handily against the eventual WC finalists

I think we come out hard and fast, let up a little in the second and have a great thirds. 4-2 Flames

This team is still mentally weak. We have to shake this off and get working .
Man we looked slow and disinterested last game so I hope this changes tonight .
I hope the dome is loud instead of the library it's become.
Let's skate , hit , screen the goalie hit the net more than we miss the net and get all four lines engaged and in this game for 60 minutes.

For the Flames to start a game hard and fast would be a welcome surprise.

Maybe they should have a full contact scrimmage in the pre-game warm ups and come out in the 1st with the mindset that they are down 2-3 goals and better get going.
