As the title suggests... Be bold cp

- both Vegas and Washington fail to qualify for the Playoffs.

- Sens make the playoffs, wheras SJ does not! (Yeah right!)

- Dube wins Calder trophy

- Josh Baily/Matt Barzal lead the NYI to victory against the Leafs in Round 1 of the playoffs

- Neal pots 55 goals with the flames

I just heard a rumour Dube will be given the number 10 and the A. I'm over 90.00% sure it's true.

Further word on the street is that Aurora Cannibis is partnering with Dube and Sportsnet. Apparently dube will be referred to as the A-10 Dube by the Sportsnet commentators who will be partnering with Aurora Cannibis this year to give you "the blunt view from up high."

As part of the endorsement deal, Sportsnet will be required to say such things during live play-by-play as:

"the a-10 Dube is on fire right now"
"A blaze of glory to win the game, led by the a-10 Dube"
"The a-10 Dube is good sheat"
"ohh man...gibsons just got blasted from the a-10 Dube"
"Talbot just choked on that shot from the A-10 Dube"
"The a-10 Dube is elevating the flames to the next level"
"Coach Peters must have lit a fire under the a-10 Dube because Dillon's rippin' out there this period"
"Coach Peters rolling the lines - a-10 Dube up next"

Not 100% sure if true, but there's a lot of rumblings. And you know they say: "when there's smoke there Dube".

Was thinking of doing a similar thread. CP User "browna" used to be the guy who starts the annual BOLD Predictions thread.

Mine:

Jon Gillies will be the starting goaltender for the Calgary Flames by the end of the season, and they will do very well in the playoffs. BOLD.

Derek Ryan will become the defacto healthy scratch.BOLD.

Edmonton Oilers will miss the playoffs. BOLD

Winnipeg Jets will meet the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Stanley Cup Finals. BOLD.

-Carey Price will end the season as a NSH Predator via Blockbuster trade with Saros/Subban(or Ellis)/Forsberg heading to MTL

Bennett will set a career high for points.

The Flames will play half the season with two rookie defensemen.

Parsons will get called up late in the season when Smith goes down to injury.

The Flames will score a PP goal.

The Flames will defeat the Oilers on the final game of the season to eliminate them from the playoffs.

-Jake Allen, yes, Jake Allen, will win the Conn Smythe Trophy in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
-At least 4 of the top 10 scorers will be 5'10 or shorter
-The Carolina Hurricanes will sign Freddie Hamilton

I can't go quite as bold as the 55 goals for Neal (as seen above), but I still think these are very bold.

- Arizona and Buffalo are both competitive, bubble teams this year-- one of them makes the playoffs
- TJ Brodie is our top scoring D man
- Stockton is lights out and makes noise in the playoffs
- The Leafs are wildly mediocre but still a playoff team
- One of Kane or Toews is traded over the next 365 days
