The pre-season is done, what will be the opening night line-up?
I'm thinking:

Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik

Giordano - Brodie

Valamaki - Stone

You can keep 23 so I would keep lazar up and switch gillies and rittich

I think Gillies will get the first shot as they can switch the two without waiver complications if Gillies doesn’t work out. And it’s a toss up between em.

I think Neal will be a good triggerman for Tkachuk and Backs. Czarnik and Ryan showed great chemistry in the first China game and Frolik just hasn’t looked like a big offensive threat dating back to last year. I know he had the injury and all, but I also also think he has an absolute muffin of a shot. He’s still a valuable player to put in certain situations, and I think he can be Bennett and Janko’s new Jagr.

I'm really happy with how training camp went because Dube, Mangiapane, Valimaki and Andersson all played very well. However, I predict only Dube and Valimaki make the team even though I personally would have Andersson also make the team. I would have a 3rd pairing of Valimaki - Andersson.

Lazar is useless as an extra forward, at least Peluso is a determent. some games set up perfectly for him on the 4th line. games with Anaheim, LA and Edmonton come to mind.

I think maybe just maybe BT swings a deal for a leaf goalie and Andersson ends up going down temporarily while the goalie situation gets sorted.
