Default Curacao

Has anyone been to Curacao? It caught my eye a few years ago, but I ended up going somewhere else at the time. I'm starting to consider it again for March 2019.

Any comments or suggestions? I'm looking at a place called the Avila Beach Hotel.

Thanks!

LOVE Curacao. I spent most of the time I was there trying to figure out how I could stay forever. Willemstad was touristy but kind of cool because its so... Dutch ... but Caribbean. Nice beaches, great snorkeling/scuba diving, nice beaches. Definitely recommended.

The distillery tour at Senior (Blue Curacao liquor) in Willemstad was pretty neat.

Went in January 2016. We stayed in a little hotel in Willemstad (the Academy Hotel in Punda), loved walking around and exploring the city. Also did the day trip out to the small island of Klein Curacao, we really enjoyed that.

Beaches were great, food was great, we definitely enjoyed our week there and speak highly of it to others.

In a previous kid-free life, my wife and I climbed Christoffelberg (highest peak on the island). Was a lot of fun - Lizards everywhere, great views. Hot as hell though, bring three times the water you think you'll need.
