Did the player who hit him get suspended?

Seems like he hasn't quite been the same player since taking that cheap shot in game one.

Nope as he didn't meet the league's criteria of being a big enough name player to go out of their way to protect.

His play has been just fine. He made the play to set up Neal's goal in game four. I'd say he's been better than Hathaway, Peluso, Ryan, Czarnik and Jankowski (though obviously sheltered somewhat).

Looks to me like Jankowski is coming out again ... he seems to be the Dube place holder. Unless Dube is out himself.

Or else Frolik for another game, though the practice lines don't suggest that.

I know Peter’s is constantly shuffling his lines, but why is Frolik back up on 3M? Giving him a chance to bounce back?

I liked Czarnik on that line a bit more than Frolik, but it's in the Flames' best interest for Frolik to be a productive top nine forward with positive trade value. You'll always have Czarnik as a backup plan.

I prefer that a Janko and Bennett are split up but playing with Neal and Bennett will bring up Janko’s intensity.

Frolik is a good hockey player.

I believe he was benched for two silly penalties, something that has always been an issue with him. But overall he's been solid.

30 minutes of ice time through 4 games and despite playing up and down the lineup with a myriad of linemates he's only been on the ice for 2 high danger chances against, which is insane.

Nothing bad happens when he's on the ice.

His offence may have dried up but the guy can play defense.

Not the Gudbranson hit that Dube is nursing. Its the blocked shot from one of the other games (I believe Nashville?)

IMO Czarnik's play dropped off a bit from his first couple games, in that he hasn't really gone to tough areas.

Yep. Just get him on a different line from Tkachuk. I would love to keep Neal and Bennett together and have Janko and Tkachuk swap roles:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Jankowski-Backlund-Frolik
Tkachuk-Bennett-Neal
Dube-Ryan-Czarnik

Hate to see Backlund get the shaft there but he's your best bet with those linemates, remember even Colborne-Backlund-Frolik were a solid second line.

Jankowski isn't playing the wing. Stop trying to put him on the wing.
