Kinda had a feeling Tampa would find a way to get this done.

Really hope they lose Kucherov to make room because I think that'd be the wrong choice.

the Senators team will be unrecognizable next season.

I wonder if Karlsson re-ups for less than anticipated. They would probably be the overwhelming favorites for the cup next season, plus a really cheap tax rate. I bet he signs for less than Doughty.

Johnson has a full ntc now. Can't see him waiving to go to that tire fire.

If Sergachev finds a way to the Senators, you have to feel for him. Such ups and downs. Canadiens to the Lightning to the Senators.

That might be one reason there are rumours of a third team potentially being involved.

Third team looking to take on salary. I bet for any of their players to agree to leave they will not be going there. Picks/Prospects to Ottawa, someone like NY cap dump/reasonable player, boom.

Yep. A player like Johnson may not waive to go to Ottawa but might to go to another city which would then ship a player Ottawa wants to Tampa who then flips to the Sens

I am a huge Karlsson fan but if the asking price is Point and Sergachev, I wouldn't do it.

I think he would gladly take exactly what Doughty got...just not in Ottawa. Less? Well its still not Ottawa so, yes, probably.

I personally don't feel that's a great D as some would say. Girardi is getting old and doesn't have the wheels he once had, McDonagh though relatively young, is starting to rely on his size more than his fleet of foot and Stralman is at his career peak. If they're going for it today, good defense to have, but in about 2 years Hedman, Karlsson and Sergachev are left while the other three are shadows.
