I've been tearing my hair out on this one...

I give: Hamrlik & Tanguay

For: Boynton & Crosby

This is a Yahoo hockey pool based on the number points, goals, assists, +/-, PIM's, etc... each player has.

I know I'd be taking a risk on Boynton (I could probably drop him and pick up Brad Stuart or something)... but having Crosby (when my other centres are Lecavalier, T. Ruutu and Demitra) is so tempting.

Yay or nay?

Nay... Hamrlik is going to get close to 40 points, and Tanguay could be a machine with Colorado.

Boynton is unsighed, and Crosby is still just an 18 year old rookie... he won't put up as much points as Tanguay.

Look at the trade again. Don't be an idiot. An established scorer and a powerplay quarterback for a rookie and a holdout D.

Don't buy into the Crosby hype. That is the only reason you are even considering this trade. Crosby will be good, but he will be no Tanguay this season. Add to that the fact that Hamrlik will likely get twice the points Boynton does if the holdout factors in, and this is a no-brainer. DON'T DO IT.

Yeah, I'm with the other two. For this season, Crosby will be good, but his only real value will be in being used to fleece people for someone who will score way more points, i.e. this trade.
