Thumbs up Flames @ Stars, 6:30 PM MST. Sportsnet West, Fan 960

a quick jaunt home, and then on the road again. The Flames roll into Dallas tonight, and with both teams fighting for a wildcard spot, this one could be a doozy.

Do the new guys play tonight? Who starts in net? Will the powerplay stay hot?Lots to look forward to.

It's a Trek into the Arena to play the Stars tonight, and trial by combat is the only way to go. Our Hero vows to do his part to push the good guys where they have gone before:

Spoiler!

Go Flames

Somehow you really upped the creepy factor in this one. Well done.

It's not a must-win, of course... but a win here would be huge... Go Flames Go!

Big game for the wild card race, which is how the Flames will probably make it in I think.

Hopefully the new guys step in and look good!

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
Looks like RW Chris Stewart makes his #Flames debut tonight with a couple decent linemates — guys named Gaudreau and Monahan.

We cannot afford to fall behind here, so win at all cost.

We really need a mini winning streak here to solidify our claim on at least a WC spot. Three more wins in a row would go a long way towards that. I wonder who starts in net. Got to think you go with Gillies, bit who knows.

Seriously, what more does Bennett have to do to get a longer shot on the top line. He looked great for both games, and now Glue Gun is going to put Stewart up there?!?!?!? WHY?

A must-win game to gain ground on Divisional rivals against a conference rival, after two excellent games? Of course they’ll lose this one. Stewart on the top line apropos of nothing? Makes tonnes of sense. :/

The MSG line - Hopefully, they make the Stars irritable tonight.

Edit: It certainly has made Flames fans irritable.

Maybe they want to give him a shot right away, possibly to also harness some of the immediate post-move energy/motivation, and then let his play dictate where he's going to end up settling in.

Maybe he just wants to see if he can develop any chemistry with them! Its not the end of the world and doesnt mean it will last all game.

I like those lines

We'll see how long the experiment lasts, but it says a lot about our RW situation that a guy who was picked up on waivers steps right onto our first line.

Excited to see Stewart play and hope he finds a hot streak. But starting him on the first line? Really? Why not play him with Jankowski? He's lucky to get a shot at being regular 3rd line RW, let alone first line. Why not leave Bennett there a few games? Really don't get it.

Also, the 3rd line was really weak against Colorado until they pretty much gave up so moving Bennett back there hopefully gives it some life again

Wtf is GG thinking? I have supported him quite a bit on here but this guy's man management ability is absolute crap! You finally start getting the production and look you want from your 4th overall pick and you demote him for a lazy turd on skates??? Put me on the fire GG train, I am done.
