Exodus at Global
Anyone know the story on the recent Exodus at Global TV Calgary? Their news team is full of reporters I don't recognize anymore. Linda Olsen is at CITY as is the weather guy Andrew Schultz. I'm guessing being a part of the Global empire has not been agreeable to the staff - losing their well established 5:30 newscast to the national desk was probably not popular.
More importantly, where is Nancy Hixt? T'was hard to focus on major crime stories when she was in frame...

Heh, I went to junior high (Wilma Hansen) with Andrew Schultz. He's lost a LOT of weight since then.
I suppose that hottie Brienne's taking over for Linda Olsen. I just hope to God that obnoxious Nirmala doesn't get more time.
There was a mass exodus of people from A-Channel to Global a few years ago. Guess it's payback 
And I hate that damned 5:30 national show. And I really, really hate Kevin Newman.

I was so hoping I would see Leslie Horton's name in that list but alas, it's not to be.
Most. Annoying. On-air personality. Ever.
Note to Global Staff: At least attempt to keep Leslie from talking about *anything* other then traffic. Please.

I think she is pretty good on Sat. morning.
And I thought I saw Lindo Olsen on Global very recently. Guess I'll have to pay close attention.

You guys better hope that Mia Sosiak doesn't get to be a news anchor. She was the news anchor here in Lethbridge for over a year. It was both funny and torture. She just couldn't seem to speak properly and then would get all giddy for the rest of the show. It was annoying.

I don't know about Saturdays mate, but on the weekdays she's horrible. She talks over everyone in order to pander on about boring anecdotes or <shudder> sometimes she actually sings.
Most recently I remember the sports guy was about to mention something about the Roughnecks (during the sports segment) and she cut him right off to say something rediculously inane. The guy never got back to the Roughnecks story. I realize it shouldn't have been that big a deal, but I started the day off in a bad mood. That happens way more often then it should - she just can't seem to keep her yap shut.
My wife wants to watch local news and doesn't like the A-Channel format of repeat news every 15 minutes, so I'm stuck. Hmm, come to think of it, it might be time to take up that conversation again.

I love Kevin Newman.
Is City TV down in Calgary the same as up here, where they seem to hire the women based on looks?  A LOT of hotties on City up here, including anchors, weather girls, and reporters.
Edit- Are you guys talking about Brienne Hurlburt (sp)? If so, she was stolen from Edmonton! And yeah, she is hot as well.
