Sharks Shake Things Up
Are the Sharks a good hockey team? No. Ever since we sold the farm we have been very bad. Our D has got to be the worse the CPHL has ever seen with the likes of the Big Byf, Burns, J. Johnson, Shattenkirk all sent packing. One of the biggest errors was trading away our own 2018 1st to the Hurricanes and the pick looks like it will be a very good one.
In a weak attempt to make us less horrible, the Sharks brought back a fan favorite on Sunday.
Welcome Back Big Byf!
The Trade:
To San Jose
The Big Byf
To NJ:
Kailer Yamamoto
Roland McKeown
2018 2nd(col)
Byf can play some big minutes to give some of our crappy D a rest.
In a separate deal, the Sharks and Sabres made a deal as well on Sunday.
The Trade:
To San Jose
Marion Gaborik
2018 3rd
To Buffalo:
Matt Cullen
Cullen was a very good player for us and was asked to do much a lot every night. He often found himself on the top line dating back to the 17-18 Playoffs. We wish Cullen the very best in Buffalo. In Gaborik we get a veteran player on a manageable contract who is playing pretty good in the NHL. We hope he will continue to produce.
Nothing earth shattering here but it would be nice to stop the bleeding and get a couple of wins here.
Thanks to Buffalo and NJ for the deals.
