Default Gulutzan on Jim Rome today

Just heard on the morning show that Rome will be interviewing GG just after 11 am Calgary time.

Love him or hate him, Rome may do the best interviews in sports broadcasting.

Here's the online link. 960 on your AM dial.

I'm pretty sure if Guluztan throws another javelin, we'll see him on Colbert or Fallon.

It clearly didn't hurt, but I suspect this as with most of these visible, emotive incidents "Gulutzan's stick throw" probably receives too much credit for how well the Flames played in the week leading up to the break. I choose to believe that there is more to it.

Is this our Train Ride moment of the year? Didn't that happen at around the same time too?

Glenny, you made the big times now.

Maybe this will lead to a two part prime time drama series on 'the throw'.

Just like last year, it also aligns with Elite Dougie Hamilton taking the place of his evil twin, Average Dougie Hamilton.

Imagine if he threw a stick during a train ride.

People love to hate on Rome but what other big US sports show is going to put Glen Gulutzan on air? I give him props for always doing his best to promote the NHL even when he knows most of his viewership isn't really interested.

Wtf?... between talking about his clones, the smackoff. And the fact he’s a former athlete, there’s no time for NHL talk on the rome show.

I don’t know what segments you’re listening to, but the NHL certainly is not one of them from any of his broadcasts.

I assure you the GG interview is more about a stick throw than actual hockey and the Calgary Flames.

Rome is a hack and a waste of 3 hours of air time in the radio.

I seriously don't understand the value of smackoff on Sports Radio. It is absolutely annoying, and the 2 hours Rome is on 960, my radio is off.

He talks more NHL than any other US based syndicated show out there that isnt on Sirius/XM.

I understand many dont like the guy and i dont listen all that often myself, but he is a big NHL fan himself, and works it into his show somewhat regularly.

He is polarizing and certainly not everyones cup of tea. He is, as i mentioned earlier, considered one of the best interviewers in the business ( I agree..he asks very tough questions all the time) and super knowledgeable about what he speaks. He gets the best guests going as well.

The other thing he is, is one of the single most successful guy at sports talk radio ever. Hacks do not pull in 30 million dollars a year to talk sports 3 hours a day.

And he does it all without the easy "Skip Bayless Hot take" route that is easy clicks and ratings. Best interviewer around and does mix in hockey, especially during the playoffs

They say people either hate him or love him. But not me.

I kinda like him, but he pisses me off sometimes too.
