Predict the order of the Canadian teams
Surprised this hasn't been made yet.
1. Toronto - Will still lose in 1st round
2. Calgary - I don't think they win finish tops in the west but def in the pacific
3. Montreal - Squeek into the playoffs
4 .Vancouver - Love the young core
5. Winnipeg - Hard to be optimistic right now but I hope they prove me wrong
6. Edmonton - Miss the playoffs again easily
7. Ottawa - Terrible.

I would just switch Edmonton and Ottawa around. Edmonton is due for another solid chance at the 1st overall lottery pick.

1. Calgary — Pacific Division winner
2. Toronto — Division playoff spot
3. Winnipeg — jostling for the Wild Cards
4. Vancouver — bubble team, narrow miss
5. Montreal — bubble team
6. Ottawa — bottom five
7. Edmonton — utter disaster

Calgary - Dude I have to.
Toronto - Ego's take control in the dressing room, Babcock gets mooned by a frustrated Matthews about 20 games into the season. Suddenly all of the players take to wearing sun glasses and talking about themselves in the third person.
Vancouver - They surprise by being better then they thought they would be, however they still manage to miss the playoffs as they get falconed punched out of the Wildcard by the Central Division teams.
Montreal - We see the decline of as they try to keep Price's groin together with bailing wire and gorilla glue but it falls apart in game 40 with a sound described as the explosion heard around the world.
Winnipeg - As has been said, its a team in turmoil. But they have a miraculous near comeback to the playoffs in the second half when a 500 pound Buff retuns to the team and takes his spot as the number one goaltender and the Jets don't allow more then 15 goals in the last 20 games.
Ottawa - Dubbed the miracle on ice because its amazing that this collection of kids and rejects can strap on their velcro skates let alone shuffle around the ice pushing chairs, but they manage to win some games. Just not a lot of games
Edmonton - Half way through the year we hear Gary Bettman yell out "Not again, they're not getting another number one pick" he calls a press conference and announces the Climate change draft lottery rule which states that teams that are named after things harmful to global warming like Oilers and Jets shall not be allowed to draft number 1 ever again. Flames are the exeption as a salute to Og the hockey playing cave man who discovered fire.

Leafs - Boston in 7
Flames - 1st in Pacific
Jets - Brossoit will save your season
Canucks - they will get closer than last season but still not good enough
Habs - I don't see how they could get in with Canes are getting better and better
Sens - by far the worst team in the league
Oilers - nothing new to see here, but it's gonna be fun. They always deliver

I think the Jets will really regress this year, however there’s some crap teams in Canada. I think there’s three tiers: elite teams, okay teams that have a chance at a wild card, and dumpster fire tier.

My prediction of a hard year for the Jets is heavily predicated on Chevy and Maurice sticking with Helley for no good reason as he struggles. I think Brossoit could save us.

^ Bold call on Ottawa there. Can't come with you down that road.
I'll say...
Toronto
Calgary
Montreal
Vancouver
Winnipeg
Edmonton
Ottawa
Flip Winnipeg and Vancouver if Vancouver has injury issues (as usual) or Winnipeg gets its defense sorted out. Maybe Pionk turns out to actually be good somehow... ? I do think that the Habs are better than some people are giving them credit for in here and are close enough to Calgary and the Leafs that the top 3 are kind of a crap shoot. I just like the Kerfoot / Barrie additions for Toronto, and not having contract situations hanging over their heads for the whole season will also help. I'm still nervous about the Flames' goalie situation or I'd have put them at the top. Andersen gets too much work, but you can't say he's not reliably good.
Anyway the whole thing is more or less entirely subject to injuries and goaltenders under/overperforming expectations.
