Now only 2 points back of Stamkos for the league lead in points. Johnny is playing out of his mind and is probably the most exciting player in the league to watch every night. Scoring is up this year across the league and it looks like Gaudreau could hit 100+ points. Will he be able to lead the league this year?

It's really a shame his stellar play have kind of been overshadowed by the defensive problems. I sure hope this team doesn't waist what could be a career season by their best player.

Disappointing to have a line that's so dominant, yet the team is barely clinging to a wildcard spot in the weakest division in the league. Without Johnny and Smith this team is probably battling Arizona in the toilet bowl. (yeah yeah, "take out any team's best players"...)
Also disappointing how little recognition that he's receiving. I'm a little disgusted that Cullen couldn't even put in a mention of Jonny for the Hart trophy after the first quarter;
Jaden Schwartz really? I imagine the fact the Flames are a bubble team that play poor team hockey may be hurting him but the fact is without his scoring this season the Flames would be in a dead heat with the Oilers and Coyotes in the bottom of the western conference.

ESPN picked Jonny as their 1st quarter MVP at least !

Really wish the Flames had pulled the trigger on their other wild card (Kucherov) too. Would've been an insane draft if they got both.
Would have been amazing for sure... but hey, hindsight is always 20/20.
Getting Kucherov in the 2nd would have made them relax about the "darkhorse" rankings of Gaudreau around the league, and perhaps have waited until the 5th round and not the 4th to get him. It was only when Kucherov was taken immediately after the Wotherspoon pick when Button (who Feaster was giving draft control to) and company started getting cold sweats that lasted all the way up until they called Johnny's name.
They were likely counting on their secrecy to keep their interest in Kucherov hidden too, but they made the mistake of assuming that every team would be considering them as darkhorses. I think our recent pick in Fox is an example of a "let's go for it" pick rather than a "safe" pick.

I wasn't meaning the organization. They need at least one player on the team to step up and hold guys like Jamie Benn accountable.

Post #3 and already with the glass half empty, with lipstick stains.
