The Bo Shaw on the fan 960 is better football talk than anything on 770.

I'd love to see the Stamps on 960, the Fan really knows how to commit to teams they hold the rights to.

But their NHL commitments would obviously take priority, and I doubt very much the Flames want a Stampeders West Final being broadcast over the internet or 660.

Not very much I gather as I can't see 770 having deep pockets to match Rogers if they really wanted to get the rights. As has been stated there are some logistical issues with the Flames and Stamps on occasion playing at the same time but I feel that could have been sorted out one way or another. I'm sure Kelly Kirsch campaigned Rogers management to put in a good bid but I'm not so sure his bosses out east overly care about the CFL. Shame because I feel the Stampeders and CFL in general need to start targeting a younger audience and I feel you get that on 960 vs 770.

960 would love to get the Stamps and take hard runs at them every time the rights become available. However, the Stamps have a very deep relationship with 770 and have very little motivation to switch. And indeed a hitch has always been "what happens if there is a scheduling conflict" and the awareness that the Flames would always win out.
The Stamps want to be the top priority of their broadcast partner.

Haven't listen to Stephen much lately, but I always thought he was good in the past.

Yeah i dont mind Mark either. He has been doing it so long now maybe ive just gotten used to him but i think he calls a very unbiased/fair game and isnt afraid to rail on bad decisions. Whether those are referee or coach or player related, he calls it as he sees it.

I think he and Greg Peterson are a pretty good tandem.

Stephen is a lot better than say Rod Pederson, the Eskimos guy and some of the guys I've heard that do eastern teams.

One of the nicer things about following the Stamps is I have not had to endure the garbage on the Fan 960 which in my view is just a mouthpiece for the Flames with guys who talk endlessly about nothing.

When I want to listen to sports talk - I tune in to QR770. A true local station.

They are good together and why would the Stamps switch? Would make no sense moving to a channel that wouldn't have them as a priority.
