Don't see the value here. Alzner is a competent top-4 defenseman and should be for a few years. Grigorenko is in the KHL and has no value after this season. Irwin is a bottom-pairing guy at the very best. Elie is a decent prospect but not enough for me to say yes here.

From my standpoint Alzner is a UFA and a rental. He only received a 1 year grid deal in his last year as an RFA. He will hit the open market after this season.
Grigorenko I pretty well view as a player who is going to retire after this season as he is KHL abound.
But for now he has the same rating as Alzner and is useful in the sim.
Irwin is a cheap 3rd pairing guy and Ellie is a good prospect who can play 4th line now with a 65ov rating.
So basically a 69ov guy for a 69, 65, 64. I wanted to upgrade my D and he wanted to fill out his roster.
For what it's worth, I was the one that only gave Alzner a 1 year deal because with his rating I just couldn't justify giving him a 3 year deal bringing his salary close to $6mill. I was prepared to take the cheap contract and see what he did in Montreal.

Voted no because this is largely a pile of very low value assets in exchange for a good player, even if for this year.
Grigorenko would be an OK asset if not for the KHL thing - but basically barring him coming back at some point there is just nothing in here that helps the Leafs.
