Interesting article summarizing a lot of what is know regarding NHL revenue growth & the salary cap. With another CBA looming will the salary cap drop in response to changes in player/owner percentage of Hockey Related Revenue (HRR).
With no TV contacts looming & NHL revenues stagnating, what will potential grow revenue to increase the cap with the next decade? A resurgent franchise in Toronto? International growth in Asia & Europe? What else? I'm all for a stagnating cap or whatever will handcuff the Oiler and their ineptitude.
