Default Things you regret not doing.

My birthday is coming up, and it’s led to my annual lament for what I haven’t done. Life passing you by and all that. Just for some motivation...
What do you wish you had done? Is it too late, or still on your bucket list? School abroad, learn to sail, start a company? Hindsight and all.

Haha, well that's a given for any dude.

In my case, wish I had worked abroad when I was younger. Had jobs I could have taken in Australia. My job back at home was at coop so not like I was missing out on anything. That and not finishing my pilots licence.

Just like the time I could have met Mr. T at the mall. The entire day I kept saying,"I'll go a little later. I'll go a little later." And then when I got there, they told me he'd just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he would ever come back again, he said he didn't know.

For me though, Spending more time with my Family. After losing my Father - you get those moments where you wish you spent that extra night hanging out with him over getting blitzed at a bar or doing something stupid.

Not pursuing music seriously when I was younger. Now that I’m much older I’m totally into it - playing, writing, starting to record - but missed a few decades in the middle. Only good part is I can afford all the gear now.....

The corollary to that is that I DID start eventually so it’s never too late.

I regret not making the most of my university days. I just went to class, studied, went home. Didn't bother making a real group of new friends, didn't join clubs or athletics, didn't hit on chicks, didn't attend lots of crazy university parties, didn't do any co-op terms. I basically skipped how university life should have really been experienced. Except for the Den. I went there a lot.

It's not really that big of deal in hindsight, but it was five years of my life. I did have a social life outside of university, ironically. Sometimes I wonder where I'd be if I put in more effort while on campus. Ah well.

Not moving to the Netherlands in my late teens, had a job offer and everything. It all worked out but what if.

Going into radio/broadcasting after high school. I wanted to and gave into pressure to go get my business degree.
Went back and did it anyways but by that point I had less runway to get my career going.
Don't regret going back to school and eventually giving the career a crack. Just regret not doing it right away.

Not living in Rez for University and experiencing the social aspect of that. Maybe there's some good things from *not* being in rez, but I know living at home really sucked from a social perspective.

Many minor regrets including girls I should have made a move on, the time I missed an open net which would have won a ball hockey semi, losing touch with friends, and some situations where I wished I had kept my cool.

I also really regret missing Shania Twain when she was signing autographs at South Centre back in the day.
