Default Who Will the Flames Take at 16?

http://www.calgarypuck.com/2017/06/2...ailable-at-16/

No such thing as consensus in this draft.

Only 5 players in the top 20 have all their rankings above the Flames selection point.

I'm hoping for Lias Anderson - very intriguing prospect for me

Tolvanen, Vesalainen,Kostin, Andersen, and a few others in the Flames area. We're going to get a snazzy prospect at 16. I'll be excited for whoever. I have a dark horse pick but that's more a trade down scenario.

With Jankowski on the verge of graduating, I hope we go off the board and pick some random guy just so we can endlessly debate his development for the next five years.

Not only that, but make a thread with this random guys name and only discuss Jankowski in it.

Swing for the fences. Take the highest reward, even if it comes with the highest risk.

I'd like to see the Flames draft Suzuki for headline-ibility.

'Suzuki drives the Flames to the win'

'Gaudreau "happy to be along for the ride" with Suzuki'

I would like us to trade down for more picks, and take Kole Lind.

Ryan Poehling is another big two-way center with offensive abilities.Three more years at St. Cloud State.

He won't say because he doesn't want the HTN GMs to scoop him. ;-)

I'm actually happy with any of the forwards, though the Russian worries me for Russian reasons.

Valimaki has been likened to a "finnish TJ Brodie". Would not mind if the Flames took a flyer on him

A long shot named Sasha Chemlevski. 6'0 RHS Center for Ottawa 67's. Has all sorts of "Elite" offensive skills. Needs to work on D and consistency. But being one of the younger draft eligibles. Could be a steal like Jankowski down the road.

Seems to me that the betting man would have us taking a Finn or a Swede this year.

What's the nature of that, David?

Vesalainen, Andersson, or Suzuki for me. Whoever interviews the best would honestly probably be the best pick. They all project similarly and have similar pedigrees.

Hague is my favorite d-man of the bunch.

I'd like to trade down to Dallas's late first and see if we could pick up Nichushkin in the deal.

I like the Scandinavians in the mix; Andersson, Tolvanen, Vesalainen, Pettersson

The Flames have some solid prospect depth presently (arguably the best in the last decade). Might be worth taking on a longer-term project. A NCAA player?
