ENTIRE ORGANIZATION PLAYS EXTRA HOCKEY
For the first time since 2006-07, the entire Calgary Flames organization plays postseason hockey as the Adirondack Thunder, Stockton Heat and Calgary Flames all battle for their respective cups.
Back in 2006-07, it would be the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights who won the West Division with a 49-25-5-1 record in the AHL while the Flames finished third in the Northwest Division after a 43-29-10 season.
Calgary’s ECHL affiliate, the Las Vegas Wranglers, won the Pacific Division by going 46-12-6-8. The coach of that Vegas team? None other than current Flames Coach Glen Gulutzan.
