As for the extra penalties.....
Thanks Wideman!
Seriously the officiating was a joke. Should have been even up calls in the third. Too much stick work after the whistles to not be even up calls.
Was worried that Holtzer was going for the head of Tkachuk.

Voted yes, but I think it was reckless rather than intentionally dirty. Looks like he tried to finish the check when he didn't have body position, made contact with the knee first, and the shot had already been released so I think it was a bit late.
Couple of small things that I didn't like that piled up into what might be a pretty significant injury. I guess it just doesn't strike me as an ordinary or necessary play in the game.

Thanks for your report from Anaheim Bingo! Must have been a fun but frustrating game to be at.

Mostly agree with Savvy.
Voted dirty, but that kind of implies intent which there wasn't.
But it was reckless and late.
No point in saying hope fowler is OK. He's not.

That Eaves goal was by design and all skill by Geztlaf and Eaves. Credit where credit is due.

I don't think Gio intended a knee on knee.
Looks to me like was coming in for a hip check but realized he was going to miss .. was trying at last second to spin open to at least get a push in.
Thanks for video.

Everything in question when slowed down looks dirty...not a dirty player.

To me a dirty his is intentional and I don't believe Gio had intentions of going knee to knee as he was dragging one skate going across the ice and if anything was trying to hit with the upper body and it was the awkward stance that resulted in the knee on knee contact. The results are very unfortunate but that's just one of those plays that can happen with body contact on skates.

Smartest move Gulutzan made last night was making sure Johnny didn't see the ice after that hit.

Gio trying to hit Fowler's knee is ridiculous. It puts his knee at risk as much as Fowler's. I should know. I tried to make exact same hit when I was playing midget - I was reaching and made contact with my leg out = broken leg for me.

Sadly, the officiating in this game was predictable.
Totally slanted in favour of the Ducks.

Because it's Giordano, I don't think it was dirty but, if it had happened against us, I'd probably be unhappy with it. Great takes, but I was hoping for a special section "Anaheim Experience".

It was a cool set play and credit to them for executing. But c'mon Elliot. His rebound control has been a glaring weakness all season.

It was a trick play that worked to perfection and Elliott and Engelland got schooled in the process. The fact that the Ducks tried it against the Flames just goes to show how much confidence they have against them.
