Figured this is worthy of a post as the president of the Cambridge University Women's Boat Club is Calgarian and they won this year (and set a record at the same time). About 250,000 were watching along the bank.
It's a 6.8km long race and the women have only been racing on the Thames since 2015. Last year the Cambridge boat nearly sank and it was a pretty bad situation all around with some hospitalization required afterwards. This year, Cambridge won and set a new record with a time of 18 minutes and 33 seconds.
