Ducks Flames vs Ducks 7:30 - A nice relaxing game for fans

Talk about a MUST WIN! Oops instinct kicking in.
This one is a "nice to win" to help avoid the Hawks.

For me the priorities for the rest of the season are (in order).

1. Don't get injured.
2. Stay ahead of Nashville/St.Louis.
3. Rest your top players as much as possible.
4. A win in Anaheim would be nice.

Final home game of the season! The Flames have already punched their ticket to the post season, so they can just go play! I feel another big two points coming. GFG!

As nice as it is to be clinched into the playoffs the team can't let off just because they are in, positioning is at stake still. Hope they come fired up for their last regular season game at the Dome.

Go Flames. Game #2 for me tonight! Flames undefeated when I attend, 1-0.

I lied when I said the Colorado game was my one and only game of the year. Not really a lie, didn't think I would get offered tickets again.

Big win, want to see sad Kesler; and Bieksa picking himself up off the ice.

ps would like to see Lazar, and Rasmus.

Very curious to see who sits tonight.

They need to win at least one of the two against Anaheim to keep their chances of finishing above 8th place. This game is inexcusable to lose. They need to win this one.

My guess - Tkachuk, Hamilton and Ferland. Pure speculation of course.

I hope we can stay ahead of St. Louis and Nashville, but ultimately I'm already thinking about the two points in every playoff game.

I could see that too. I was thinking Hamilton & Stone would sit and Wideman and Andersson would draw in.

Geez, if that's the case we should start mentally preparing for the Hawks first round. I'm hoping there's a guy or two with some minor bumps that can be rested at any point during the next week and a half.

I really hope it's not like some other years where it turns out half the star player were playing through actual injuries.

The ticket is punched, but the quest for positioning continues.

Flames and Ducks is always a battle. Admiral Mini-Me echoes a famous fighting man of history and says "Damn tactics - go right at them!"

Spoiler!

Go Flames

Do people really think we're going to start resting players tonight while home ice advantage is still a possibility?

Not disagreeing with anyone more so just curious.. it's a situation where we haven't clinched this early in a decade.

Last night the Oil and Ducks iced their best players and I expect them to continue that until their spots in the standings are solidified

Just speculation after Gulutzan hinted that some guys were nursing some injuries. Entirely possible no one sits.

Wait, are you speculating injuries or just figuring they'll rest these guys? I highly doubt Flames management is looking to just rest two of our top four defenders when everyone in the bottom half of the west playoffs is trying desperately to avoid 8th place.

I could only see multiple guys being rested in the last one or two games IF they're guaranteed to finish or not finish in 8th.

Winning the division is pretty well impossible because the Flames are 5 points back with 4 games to play. Edmonton finishes the season with two games against Vancouver who have mailed it in.

Rest players, no injuries and get ready for the playoffs is all that matters now.
