Default Renting an RV; <7 Days

Hi Everyone,

Looking for insight. I feel with age, comes RV'ing. Well, I'm 37 yrs old, and I'm looking to try it. Looking to rent an RV to sleep ~4 people, in July, for 5 days. A Thursday to Monday scenario. 1,100 km total trip. Just a class 5 license. No Airbrake etc; but licensed for 20 years.

Anyway, the challenge I'm finding, is that the RV rental companies won't rent for last than a week.

Recommendations?

Thanks
Cam

Rent it for 7 days then, extra day on each end. Pick it up a day early, give yourself time to load your stuff up. No rush to get home and unload it.

I second the whole week plan. Both places I've rented from, Canadream and Fraserway, are way out in the boonies (Airdrie) so it's a bit of a hassle to get thing sorted out. It's definitely nice to have the extra time to get packed up. As a bonus you'll get x mileage per day so the actual cost of those extra days won't be too crazy.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Using it for the couple extra days looks to be the way to go!

Wow that is a smart idea for everyone involved. Most people I know that buy a fifth wheel spend $50,000 and use it for about 2 weeks/year.
