Sorry if this isnt thread worthy but i thought this was interesting. Johnson, Namestnikov and Paquette all got injured in yesterdays game against the Wild . Looks like they love going after teams star players (Gaudreau). Tampa also has Stamkos out long term. The coach (Cooper) said it doesnt look good for the 3 players injured in yesterdays game. Its a shame because Tampa finally looked like they were making up ground in the playoff race only for this to happen. Pretty much is the nail in the coffin for their season. Also looks like their AHL team only has 1 healthy centre lol. And we thought we had it bad with Hamilton and Stone out day to day.

Reminds me of back in the day when the Flames were down to ECHL goalies due to successive injury. Tyrone Garner started a game I think. I think they were into the 8th guy at that point.

Didn't that result in the emergence of Freddie Brathwaite?

Well none of those were dirty plays really. Johnson tried to dodge a hit and got his leg caught, Namestnikov you could argue it was a dumb play for Parise to dive for it but I wouldn't call it dirty, and Paquette pretty much does it to himself trying to haul down the Wild player.

I don't even think any of those plays were penalties, much less actually 'dirty'.

Agreed. Paquette in particular got frustrated and was the victim of his own attempt to take down Neiderreiter.

Yeah, I think some point soon after the Garner game they signed Freddie. That was such a fun time once #40 came to town.

I don't know... pretty blatant extended knee by Niederreiter.
That is a suspension IMO. And if it were on a Flame, everyone would be losing their minds.

I disagree. He coasts into the hit, and his left leg pretty much stays in the same position the whole time. The only time it moves is when he transfers his weight into the hit, which is normal.
Johnson tries to dodge the hit which wedges his leg against the board funny, we have seen that happen to players many times.

He got to play 3 games with a GAA of 5.18 and lost 2 games. He made it to the NHL.
