Beat top teams in Minnesota and Pittsburgh, then get blown out by the Coyotes..... uh, yeah.

plain and simple
This game was an atrocity from the Flames. Break or not.
How you can drop this game so badly when you desperately need the points to stay in the playoff race(while teams ahead are winning), I don't know. Every time we raise our hopes with this team when they get a couple wins and look good, they promptly take a huge dump on our faces.

Wasn't able to tune in until midway through the 3rd.

So gross and yet I'll be right back on Wednesday to see which version of the Flames we get. Tough being a fan of this team at times.

I'm not even mad. I fully expected this to happen. It's the wins that come as a surprise to me.

Team lacks top 6 skill and quality coaches. We're going no where for a while.

Send Wideman to the AHL and get a goalie. Oh, and get a real coach too.

This season (and preseason)

4-0 loss to Jets on Oct 2
4-0 loss to van Oct 6
5-0 loss to LA Nov 5
2-0 loss to Jets Jan 9
4-0 loss to Leafs Jan 23
5-0 loss to Arizona Feb 13

It's a bad brand of hockey.

Fyp.

In all seriousness, terrible effort. 5 day breaks are not good, granted, but holy hell guys, get up for a game against a legendarily ####ty Arizona team, regardless if they're on a 5 game win streak or not. Johnson was terrible, Elliot didn't have much to do apart from pick the puck out of his net within the first minute of him coming on, and the big guns were not the big guns. Gotta give Smith credit, he made some timely saves, but the Flames couldn't
hit a barn door all night.

Gaudreau is hard to cheer for this season. I don't begrudge him the holdout, but dude has to give a more consistent effort. The whining hasn't helped either.

So frustrating that one never knows what to expect from this team.

I bet ownership wants to see a 2017/2018 plan from Treliving before they give him an extension. If I was Treliving I would say give Claude Julien whatever he wants and let me take care of the rest.

This goes deeper then the coach. Need to improve the team on the ice.

The team just plain embarrassed itself tonight. they're not talented enough or have enough points to come out and play a half arsed lazy game.

I can blame the coaches, but I'm also looking at the leaders on this team.

Oh for sure and Treliving knows that, but it starts with an elite coach. The top 4 dman, goalie, and top RW will come into the fold eventually.
