Default Opportunity to play ball hockey with Ferland

He's recruiting players for pickup tonight on Facebook group: Calgary ball hockey.

Looks like his legit fb account. I can't make it

Just finished playing against him.

Blocked his shot a couple dozen times, feels good man.

I was with AC. Got to face 6 shots on him during warm up before their goalies went in. Stopped 4/6 shots (well 2 went wide but still). And then as I packed my gear and was leaving he looked up before he took the face off and said "see ya buddy". I was fanboying so hard.

Damn TangerZ actually got to play on his team for a while. Lucky guy!

Had to nerd out and get a canvas print I had done up of this signed:

Also tried to casually ask if he'd ever seen the YouTube video of his highlights vs the Canucks. He had!

That would be hilarious, but who in the world has a Bieksa jersey?

Without fail, I see two or three Bieksa jerseys every single time I go to the Saddledome. Even if the Flames are playing Carolina, hey, there's Bieksa. Same goes for Kesler. It's weird.

One of those "feel good" stories for me:

Was going out w a girl who pretended to be a Flames fan because I'm such a fanatic. After meeting her parents and sister it started leaking out that she was a Canucks fan. Dated her for over a year. I had bought her a 150.00 gift card for Chinook mall that last Christmas before I broke up with her. She hadn't used it before we broke up. I saw on social media she gave me a dig with a picture of a Bieksa jersey saying she used the money I gifted her to buy it.

That was during the Canucks run to the finals. The Bruins of course won the Cup. I like to think there were tears on that Bieksa jersey.

Then Irrelevant Ferkland made Bieksa his bitch in the playoff series vs. Van. Ferland holds a special place in my heart for that. I bet she hates him a lot.

Perfect.

I'm a jersey collector and I pretty much load up on traded player jerseys of other teams all the time. Got a Bieksa heritage classic jersey for $20 at lids.ca. It's by far the most shameful jersey in the collection.

Most likely, only Bieksa himself.

At least they gave you $20 to take it off their hands.
