I would have Donovan or Byron ahead of Glencross as fastest skater. Glencross wouldn't even crack the top 5 IMO

At first I thought that this was a historic list from the skills competitions, but then I saw that Makarov wasn't under 'stick handling' and Roberts wasn't under 'shot accuracy'. Or is it historical? Those two may have mailed in the skills competition, or not even participated. I can't remember. I just remember the actual games those guys being best on the team in those categories when they played.

Nothing historical or official. I was thinking more in-game than skills competitions.
I remember Phaneuf botching the hardest shot at the skills competition, but in-game, he was better. And vice-versa, some players call skate fast at the skills competition, but can't do so well in game situations.
And I am just going from memory, which admittedly isn't the greatest.

Why don't I remember Conroy having that hard of a shot? I don't remember many slappers from
Him outside of the two in the 04 run(Game 1 vs SJ, Game 7 vs TAM), and those weren't super hard shots, they just found a corner thru screens.

Yeah, Matt Lombardi should easily be in the top-5 for fastest skaters. Byron should be an HM.

Didn't Freddie Sjostrom win fastest skater at a flames skills comp years ago? That guy had wheels.

As much "love" as he gets around here, Wideman should probably be on that list. And for the oldtimers, Kevin Lavallee, who had the hardest and wildest shot ever.

I think the fastest skater ever on the Flames was probably Donovan (you may have it right with Ranheim though). Dean McCammond could also fly. That 2004 team had all the wheels with those two plus Lombardi, Saprykin, Kobasew, Niemenen... Gelinas could still haul ass then too. Sigh. Half of them were injured in the end.

Didn't Kotalik and Babchuk both have very hard shots?
Or are we only talking about good players

Glencross beat Lombardi one year I recall. He was pretty quick.

Glencross did beat Lombardi once (2010 I believe) but Lombardi had faster times previous years.

Might be recency bias but people forget Glencross was extremely fast when he first came here. IIRC he set an unofficial record at the Oilers skills comp when he played for them.

Ron Stern also won fastest skater one year.
Niewendyk doesn't Crack top 20 for stick handling.
Loob ranks top 3 in accuracy in my opinion.

Is there a list for all time AS points by Flames players somewhere?
