Default The night 334 fans watched the Devils vs Flames

Amusing article.

Only 334 fans due to a blizzard. They have their own badges to wear!

Gotta wonder if there are some Flames fans on that list. I wonder if they refunded tickets. Nice little read, thanks!

Yawn. Driving in the snow makes you part of an elite club? Truly elite clubs have less than 10 members, and they involve voting with your heart instead of your head on internet polls.

The 2&7 broadcast crew was able to make it. Ed Whalen included. What troopers. It was a weird game to watch.

I remember watching the game on TV. The funny thing is the only thing I can recall is the puck going into the crowd seats and the camera guy showing a few individuals racing to where the puck landed.

Wasn't Marc D'Amour the goalie for the Flames that game? I do remember listening to that game on the radio...

Haha, I remembered that game as I was listening to it on the radio in the basement. Not sure if the game was even broadcasted on TV. Kind of a weird game as the Flames never lost to the NJD before and I think it started their first losing streak with them. All I can remember was that the game was practically snowed out. Before that game, Gretzky called the NJD a Mickey Mouse team. So, how can the Flames lose to them, right? Good old memories...

That guy's framed ticket stub -- sixth row, $19.

The Flames are there on February 3rd, and a sixth row ticket is $111 and that's a resale. Not as big of an increase as I expected 30 years later. Also, not anywhere near the printed price for a game at the Saddledome for such good seats.

how is it that in this old footage 334 people cheering in new jersey sound louder than a full saddledome on current sportsnet broadcasts?

man - i love those old white/red/green devils jerseys! so nice!
