Default Flames recall Kulak. Wotherspoon sent down.

Roger Millions @RogMillions
#Flames have recalled Brett Kulak from AHL Stockton. He is here in WPG

Did not like Wotherspoon's or Kevin's last games, happy for them to give Kulak another try on the 3rd pair.

Might have sent Wotherspoon down, believe he was on his last day before he needed waivers again.

I dont usually have a axe to grind on Wideman but,... He was terrible Saturday, I can deal with being slow of foot , slow on the turn if I have to but he flat out gave up multiple times and expected Brodie to bail him out. Attitude is everything and his stunk.

Made me think during the game , Wish we had kulak up....

Good. Saw this one coming. Wotherspoon was noticeably poor last game. Losing patience with him.

Agreed, lost almost every puck battle, always gets his stick tied up by opponent so no way he can move the puck. He is starting to irritate me a lot!!! So slow!!!

In the first 9 minutes of action saturday, Wideman was between twice (which I understand, he is slow) for breakaways/odd-man rushes and just gave up on the plays. He should skate his bag off trying to get back, even if he´s slow enough that he wouldn´t even catch Griffin Reinhart. You need to show you try and you care.

Yes, he's on the AHL transactions page as having been sent down on the 7th.

Doesn't look like he will get in tonight:

Roger Millions @RogMillions
Kulak was kicking a soccer ball around. But not on ice. So Jokipakka likely plays. #Flames

Kulak is this team's new middle-pairing/bottom-defenseman. He and Brodie would make an outstanding pairing.

Good old AHL transactions page. Was sent down on the 7th, didn't update until the 9th.

Don't disagree with this one.

Wotherspoon was not very good in the few games he did play.

We really need to iron our our 4-6 on defense.

We need to give Wotherspoon or Kulak a 10 game stretch to see what they can do. This 1 game out of 5 isn't doing anything to develop chemistry or our depth.

Thoughts on potential for Rasmus Andersson to get a call up? Gotta like that +18 rating...

Wideman was pretty good Friday. He and Brodie might have been the best pairing that night. He wasn't as good Saturday IMO, though not terrible or anything (no one was that bad).

They would probably like to see him play nearly a full season in the AHL as he needs the development.
