What is your most prized Flames possession?



I'll break my own thread rule and note 2 things but they are sitting right next to each other, both ticket stubs. The first from May 21, 1989, the game Lanny McDonald scored his 500th goal. The second from January 7, 2012, the game Jarome Iginla scored his. Both are from virtually the same section and row of the 'Dome, even after the renovations. Both are signed and personalized. I'm working to have them framed together so they will ultimately become just 1 item anyways. Still looking for a photo of just Lanny with his 500 puck, not the trio pic with Mullen and Nieuwendyk.

A Robert Reichel autographed puck.

I know neither one is that incredible, but I am not much into memorabilia.


The Reichel puck was such a random find though. I was in Valemount BC working and a hitchhiker vagabond guy was on the side of road with a blanket laid out with random items for sale. I remember a few belts, key chains, mugs as well as random knickknacks like travel posters and souvenir spoons. Then somewhere in the middle of it inside a little plastic case was a Robert Reichel autographed puck. No other sports related stuff. Just junk that this guy picked up on his travels. I think I gave him a few dollars for it.

A game used stick from Captain Todd Simpson autographed by the team which I won in a 1999 minor hockey week raffle.

Yes that team sucked and Simpson was a horrible captain but there are some great autographs on there such as Fleury, Iginla, Stillman, Housley, Bure, St. Louis, Brathwaite and Giguere to name a few.

Probably the two pucks I caught during the 1985-86 season. Both against St. Louis, one in the preseason, the other in game 2 of the Campbell Finals.

3) White away jersey I bought when they got the latest one's with the Canada/AB flags, can't quite recall which year that was. It's symbolic for me (have been 'away', not lived in Calgary since 2006 and wore it to Flames games in Vancouver).

After the Flames won the Cup in 89 season ticket holders were given a letter from GM Cliff Fletcher with a copy of their tickets laminated.



I like to procastinate but I finally got the above framed a few months ago.

That is awesome but can you please explain. Were you the original Scorch or did you make your own Scorch costume? Did you try to wear it to a game and they kicked you out or something?
