lanny Great Duhatchek story on former Flame Jim Kyte

Wow. Good for him.

Had know idea what happened to him in his post-hockey life, but what a turn-around. Goes to show that some of the so-called goons in the game are quite cerebral. He overcame a lot to play in the NHl, which gave him the determination to succeed post-NHL.

His story on making it to the NHL is great in itself. This just makes it that much better.

For some reason, I recall an old interview where he attributes his post-concussion syndrome to Joey Kocur. Here, he seems to be relating it to a car wreck. Am I that far off base or has the story changed?

Being a pugilist, I'm sure he had his bell rung a few times.

Kyte is a very recognizable name for me as one of the Jets from my very early years. Nice read.

He was top of the fight game for a season or so as a Jet. Then he got caught by a Joe Kocur bomb.

I liked Kyte as a Flame. He had an underrated pest aspect to his game in addition to the physicality. That said, I think the best hockey of his career was that series he played for San Jose who knocked the Flames out in 7 games.
