Default December 18ith six games.

Good morning everyone, it is a week before Christmas and there is some good hockey on today starting with a good inter-conference game. Have some rum and eggnog while watching it.

1:00 PM Avalanche at Jets---it's a battle between 2 slumping teams.

2:00 PM BJs at Canucks---this will be good to watch as the BJs are on an 8 game winning streak and Torterella has 499 wins.

5:00 PM Devils at Rangers---deja vu here as these teams met last Sunday in the same arena and basically at the same time.

On the Sharks/'Hawks' game:

Darling has been showing signs of fatigue, the last two games, and he played last night. He hasn't started this many consecutive games, yet, in his career. Crawford is skating, but, may not be ready...it may be an NHL debut for Johanssen. Q didn't plan on using the guy, but, he may have to.

Anisimov left the game in the 1st last night, and did not return...few details..."upper body injury". Q was unwilling to break up Rasmussen/Kruger/Panik last night...Kruger is usually the C that slides to top 6, but in the game, Q moved Desjardins from #4 LW to #2C, between Hartman and Hossa...He loaded up line one with Panarin/Toews/Kane...I expect the same tonight, if AA can't go...Motte would be the one to come out of the pressbox and slot in at #4LW, with Hinostroza and Tootoo.

Is it just me or did the Bruins player's reaction start before the stick made contact?

Canucks don't want to give Torts his 500th career coaching win, they've rallied to tie the game 2-2 in the third period.

Saad catches Ben Hutton napping and beats Miller to give the Jackets a 3-2 lead.

You gotta be kidding me, Hansen ties it up with Miller pulled for an extra attacker. Off to OT at Rogers Arena.

Seth Jones wins it for CBJ in OT (Hutton hit the post at the other end of the ice just prior).

Can't believe what Columbus is doing this year. They're now only 2 points back of 1st in the league, with 4 GAMES IN HAND.

Unless they stumble very shortly, they will be #1 overall at the mid-way point of the season. Incredible.

Duncan Keith is a stud.
keeps the puck in, then hits home a one timer.

The Senators are hanging on to a 3-2 lead after forty minutes. Stone with two points and both of the Senators goalies have been in net.

Interesting that Seabrook and Keith have been split since Seabrook's return from injury.
