Default Calgary Real Estate Mogul Shot

Riaz Mamdani of Strategic Group was shot this morning. http://calgaryherald.com/news/crime/...ed-to-hospital

The news article linked suggests the motive for the attack is not known, but then mentions he's alleged via lawsuits to have caused or contributed to investors losing hundreds of millions.

Reports are he is going to survive the attack.

Over the years I've heard from disgruntled investors in Concrete Equities, Platinum Equities, etc., and it was always in my mind that given the sheer number of people who claim to have been wronged, for so much money, sometimes even life savings, it was only a matter of time until someone goes over the edge and physically attacks some of the people alleged to have caused those losses.

I forgot about this for a long time, and didn't know there were two class action proceedings going forward.

It could be one of those many Plaintiffs had something to do with this. I don't condone trying to kill or hurt him in any way, but I can not say I'm surprised either.
