Most places will require you to send in some personal information, IE, pictures of your ID and such, which many people dont like, if you want to purchase it online.
In your situation, something easy may be to go to a Bitcoin ATM, in which we have a few in Calgary, and get your 0.05 BTC. You would just setup a wallet on your smartphone beforehand, which is very easy. If you have a Iphone, something like breadwallet is a really good one. The nice thing is that these ATM's dont require you to give any personal information, just a phone number I believe to verify, in which they text u a numerical code. Alot dont even require a phone number. Keep in mind if you go this route, that you always pay more than the actual value of the BTC for the "convenience" of not having to give any info and it being relatively quick. So you may pay around $60 or so for $50 worth of BTC.
