I've been a Johnson fan since the first game he started. I thought he was just so calm, focused and made small adjustments to really square with the puck. His positioning just seems to be spot on. I thought the toe save in the first was a much harder save for him because it was so unexpected. The tight in shot after the pass from the corner was great, but in my head I just saw Johnson having his positioning and a textbook butterfly, clutch save but he made it seem easy.
Early on in the game I wondered if the boos would get to Hamilton, and he played a good game so I don't think they did, but I couldn't help but notice him carry the puck a lot less and seemed to get those passes off quickly to shut the crowd up. I think they were actually effective at changing up his game and maybe kept him at bay more than normal.
And finally I am so happy to have old Brodie back. The way he stripped the puck on the first goal was Lidstrom-esque. Force guy to outside, strip the puck, move it up quickly, team scores. That's the kind of stuff Norris trophies are made of.
