FACING THE WILD

The Calgary Flames went 1-2-0 against the Minnesota Wild in the 2015-16 season, picking up a 2-1 win at Xcel Energy Center on Apr. 9, 2016. That win last year at Xcel Energy Center also snapped a four-game slide in Minnesota, though the Flames had taken at least one point in five straight prior to that (3-0-2).

In their last 10 road games against the Wild, the Flames have a 4-4-1-1 record.

ROAD WARRIORS

Tonight's game is Calgary's ninth road tilt of the 2016-17 season and they are 3-4-0-1 away from the Scotiabank Saddledome so far this year. In those eight games, Calgary has the fourth-most hits in the NHL among road teams with 212 and they are sixth among NHL clubs away from home in blocked shots (129).

REINFORCEMENTS HAVE ARRIVED

The injury bug has struck the Flames of late as forwards Kris Versteeg, Lance Bouma, and Matthew Tkachuk have all missed multiple games. Calgary has fortified their ranks up front by recalling Garnet Hathaway, Hunter Shinkaruk and Linden Vey from their AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat. The trio had helped Stockton to a 6-3-1 record with a Pacific Division-best +13 goal differential.

The Flames won the special teams battle (one power play goal for / zero power play goals against) on Saturday night for just the second time this year.

Lets hope the boys rally on this road trip and start to play some cohesive hockey. Lineups will be posted when they are released.

If they lose, fire everyone. If they win, fire almost everyone.

Thanks for the GDT Ottomatic, but I think a better question than "will we win?" is "will I bother to watch?"

odds are about 15% that we'll win.

odds are about 70% we'll be embarrassed again tonight (goal differential 3+)

Nope. Another blow out loss. 5-1 Wild. Gulutzan gets out coached once again.

Is it better to get blown out now or win this one and get blown out in the next game?

I say 5-1 Wild.

And I see Parise returns tonight against the Flames

Reduces chances of winning this game from say 1% to say 0.1%

Its odd (well, maybe not) that players seem to make their return against the Flames. Ease them in I guess.

I want two things

1) Less than 3 "WTF?!?" moments
2) No drop passes in the neutral zone on the PP (that could fall into #1)

Hopefully Frolik can go.

I dont think Brouwer will be the answer for the top line.

I miss the ATL reports therefore fair question would be? When WILL we get an ATL report?
Hopefully the answer is tonight as it will be unbearable here reading on how Bruce outcoached Glue!

If the last few games (well, the season really) have been a flaming disaster, Our Hero will at least make it amusing for a few minutes:

Spoiler!
