He is still probably asking for trade.
When Turris went through this (note same agent as Trouba), he signed on Nov 17 and was traded Dec 12.

Craig Custance @CraigCustance
Trouba deal done w/Jets. 2-year deal. $2.5 million year one, $3.5 million year two.
The contract terms should make it easy to move Trouba right now.

And people say that 'Sign and Trade' never happens anymore.
Incoming Trade.
Still, not bad by the Jets, they just wanted to make sure they got something in return. Fair's fair.

Good deal for Winnipeg. I'm glad they stuck to their guns and didn't trade him for nothing.

People say that because it rarely happens...I don't see anything imminent in this case either

Sweet trade deal. Must have a preferential team.

This has to have Chevy and the Jets happy as hell. Trouba is a good young defender and a 2 year deal at 3 mil cap hit, he becomes an amazing trade chip.
They'll get a pretty good return for him IMO.
I'd do Gio for Trouba...

Jets did well playing hardball and will either keep him for cheaper than expected or get a better haul than expected.

Would you rather that the Flames had Hamilton working on his 2nd year of a 3M 2 year deal and Monahan and Gaudreau on their first year of the Trouba contract?

I think it comes as no surprise that this contract is very trade friendly.

Yes and we would all rather be paid in 7 figures but we aren't and that's not their contracts so why talk about a world that doesn't exist
