Who's the first call up?
The heat are looking good down there. Flames have been lucky on the injury front (knock on wood) but who do you think gets the first call up when we need one?
Looks like both Shinkaruk and Jankowski have been playing lights out. If a wing went down I would guess we could call up Shinkaruk. He's had some pretty sweet dangles that we don't see much in his callups.

My money is on Shinkaruk.

Depends what we're looking to bring up. If it's skill than Shinkaruk is next on the list. Jankowski looks to be working on his offensive game and developing quite well down there. But I don't think Shinkaruk has much left to learn in the AHL.
If we're looking for a 4th line option, it would be between Hamilton and Hathaway, but I'm leaning towards Hamilton right now.

Andrew Mangiapane. IMO the best fit with Monahan and Gaudreau which remains our biggest hole. Gonna take a few more weeks to get some good pro habits going but after that he is my bet. Emile Poirier has also looked like a good candidate, if he gets hot I could see him being the first callup too.

Depends on who's being replaced.
If they're bringing up someone to jump into the lineup, it's probably Shinkaruk or Hathaway, depending on the role needed to be filled.
If it's someone to be an extra forward who will sit in the press box most nights, it'll probably be Bollig or Vey.

Or the Flames go out of left field and bring David Moss out of retirement!

I feel like we don't want 2 little boy bodies on our top line... Not to mention Mangiapane just turned pro and is still adjusting. I'd like him to spend a full season in the AHL especially with all the further developed players that deserve a shot.

If a center gets hurt - Jankowski
If a winger gets hurt - Hathaway (Shuffle everyone else up in the NHL lineup, have Hathaway on the 4th line)
If a D-man gets hurt - Kylington
If Elliott gets hurt or Johnson misses extended time - Gillies
If Johnson gets hurt for less than a month - McCollum (only because he'll ride the pine)

I vote for Shinkaruk but it could be Hathaway.

Shinkaruk to potentially fill in for Tkachuk if he gets sent down.

Whomever has been working the hardest should get that call-up - unless it is a center out, and the Flames need a center replacement. Whether it is Jankowksi, Shinkaruk, Poirier, Mangiapane, Hamilton, or anyone else really. Let that call-up be the proverbial carrot to the guy that is putting in the most effort on and off the ice.

No way to answer this question, without knowing who is hurt.
i.e. Left winger, Right Winger, Center, checker etc.
If they need a Center I would guess Jankowski
Winger on depth line = Hathaway
Winger to generate offense = Shinkaruk
etc
