All of the above people are from the new season of the apprentice (Trump and Martha).
I remember looking at my parents high school year books when I was a kid and seeing these god-awful horn rimmed glasses and thinking how geeky they looked. Somehow these hideous glasses came back in style about 5 years ago, what's next Austin Powers teeth?
It always seems to be the pretentious starbucks coffee drinking, cordorouy pants wearing, coldplay listening, goof wearing them. Or some double income no kid couple who drive a jetta.
To the guy who is inevitably going to take offence to this, get over it you have ugly glasses.

agreed. Everytime I see Dad's university pictures I laugh at his glasses. Now all sorts of retro nerds are wearing them as well. Face it: you look silly.

I have a pair. I like them. I also like Coldplay, and Starbucks coffee. I don't have a Jetta, but I wish I did. I don't wear cordoroy, but I used to back in the 80's.
I AM....A GOOF!

I don't mind them, but i'm really attracted to the nerdy type girls. What's up with the first guy though? Those look like girl glasses.

Different frames do different things for your face and these so happen to bring a person's focus to your eyes. The wider frames also help if you have a rounder face as it gives your face an elongated look.

I think the first guy looks goofy. The others look fine to me. I agree about girls with nerdy glasses, they look really hot sometimes.
What is hornrimmed anyway? i know nothing about glasses.

It all depends on the facial structure, but for the most part I agree they look fairly goofy on most men. On the right women though they look really good at least in my opinion. Sort of draws my attention to the eyes a bit more and at the same time gives a little bit of an innocent vibe to everything which is great.
But in general it has to be on the right face, as no matter how popular the glasses are if they don't suit ones face it just looks rather stupid - much like the first guy with the red glasses. Not what I would wear if I wanted to impress someone.

The first guy gives me the creeps, but the rest of them look fine, but I can't notice the difference between a pair of glasses except for rectangular or ovals, after that they're all the same to me.

I don't mind them. I wouldn't get that style myself, but I don't think they look ridiculous.

Nicely done.
And to agree with what was already posted, women who wear glasses get extra hotness points in my book!

Regarding the glasses.
They look fine on women (as long as you're not being pretenious and they actually are persciption glasses, not just glass).
But for men, it seems to be the latest trend, like cargo pants before it, and those current (but on the way out) dorky look-like they're 1960-70's running shoes-but they're brown or black leather-so they must be the latest casual trend-so I'll get them shoes. Trying to look more Euro/sophisticated, or to "stand out" from a crowd and be bold...but since everyone desperate for that look, its not that unique anymore.

Haven't you ever heard the old saying: "My clothes are so old, they're back in fashion again."
Good grief, even bell bottoms and platform shoes were "in" last year!!!

Last year I decided to get a new pair of glasses (I mainly wear contacts) only to find that oval/round shaped frames aren't really sold anywhere. Upsetting.
My dad's take on those fashionable glasses: "Some people need attention so much that they even call attention to their flaws."
