Flames 2016/2017 Flames Hat

Hey guys, Looking for a new hat this year. Anybody seeing anything good on shelves this year?

Really disappointed by the lack of a retro flex fit.

Have a nice Hat Where did you get it!

New Era 59Fifty, the same kind as all the major league baseball hats. They're fitted and come with a flat brim (that can be curved) but don't let that scare you away. Best quality, nice and simple, and best looking by a mile.

Or, you know, just grab the pedestal snap back!

EDIT: Bad image link

lids has a huge online selection and you can have it shipped to a calgary store for free.

My only advice is to buy one that doesn't have the C stitched all weird looking. Like this one:

https://www.lids.ca/calgary-flames-n...y-cap/20628233

Or this one:

https://www.lids.ca/calgary-flames-n...x-cap/20840449

Looks funny the way they stitch the C and flames separately.

Instead look for one that is either flat, or stitched like this:

I absolutely love the colors in this one:

I just wish it came in a flex fit instead of fitted.

100% agree this drives me crazy. Which further limits the Hat selection.

This is the hat I want but I cant handle a snap back.

And it is really too bad because all new era hats have the funny stitching and I love the 39thirty hat. I have several for different teams I like and they all fit perfectly.

These are all the swept back, fitted style. I've always been looking for a retro color trucker hat with the really tall front panel and mesh back.

That's actually good to know. I've always stayed away from NE because I assumed it was a material that wouldn't hold a curve.

Still don't know how to imbed the damn NHL vid.

The one johnny is wearing in this vid is actually quite nice (minus the big Reebok letters along the side). I usually don't like Flames hats designs except for the simplicity of the NewEra ones, and because they are tough as nails and last.

This is the Hat I set out to find after no luck with a retro colours.

Cant find it anywhere. looks similar to a silver one I found but not the same. Like this one much better.

Might end up going with this one https://oldtimesports.ca/product/nhl...calgary-flames

but am hesitant with O/S as don't find they are exceptionally comfortable
Also concerned that red on the hat is off but think it must just be the picture

Thanks, yes that's the style I was looking for, where the front is tall and squared off at the top. The stitching is unfortunate but it's something. Other hats look strange on me, like I have a dent in my forehead because they angle back so fast.

I don't have a big head so the only hats that fit me good are slouch hats to which are hard to find in a good style for the Flames.

The only hat of any importance is the mythical "Gio cap" and whether or not it really exists.

Are you serious?? You do know that NE 59Fifty hats are on field MLB baseball caps right? about 95% of players curve their brims. Seems like a very odd thing not to know.

But then again I have played baseball my whole life. The quality of NE 59Fifty hats are easily the best you can get.
