I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Lunch or dinner? Surahi has a lunch buffet but dinner is a la carte I think. The buffet is not quite as extensive as some of the DT lunch buffets but I find the food quality and taste to be a bit better.

We've had dinner buffet at Delhi Darbar, but I don't know if that is every night.

Second DD - went there a number of times when I worked on 16th and I found the food and prices superior to Namskar.

Namskar is fine, but the only really good menu item is their Mulligatawny soup. So good. But the rest is just alright.

There really isn't a 'good' indian buffet. Tandoori hut in Chestermere has a decent lunch buffet just because their food is good and Dehli Darbar is decent too. If you want really good south asian food go to Faisals Kebab hut/Fatimas kebab hut (both owned by the same family and 2 blocks apart). It is the best pakistani food available in the city and cheap too. We took 10 people there and paid for dinner and it was under $100. Pakistani food has more meat dishes but they do have really good dal and chola.

Yeah, Rajdoot is pretty good, though I did randomly get sick there once. That said, there's really no great, stand out Indian restaurant in town. Seems like a potential openning for someone. Vij should branch out...

I am very against Rajdoot, been there 3 times and have regretted it every time.

Not specific to buffets but my favourite authentic Indian food experience in Calgary is Clay Oven and for a fusion Karma is pretty good as well.

If you're looking for variety Five Rivers for their buffet is interesting, not going to lie by saying it's high quality but good variety and cheap (also has decent Indian pizzas).

I haven't had their buffet, but the Chicken Lababdar and Vegetable Korma are outstanding.

I don't get the love for Clay Oven, read reviews on many sites. It's a small restaurant in the middle of a nondescript NE strip mall. I wouldn't mind the decor if the food was good. It's not bad but it's nothing to write home about, the selection is small and the tandoori chicken is greasy/too saucy. Authentic tandoori chicken is dry and slightly charred. And I know, I am Indian, grew up eating tandoori chicken in Delhi.

I like Karma at 130th, slightly spicier than the regular buffets you find. Namskar is not bad. Five Rivers is actually good (vegetarian only, but with more authentic dishes), but if you like spotless clean restaurants - don't go there.

I need to check out Rajdoot.

We've hit Rajdoot for the lunch buffet several times and I've found it delicious. Would highly recommend it over Taj Mahal which is the other place we've checked out recently.
