NHL Rookie showcase video (Tkachuk and Gillies)
Short video with Tkachuk mic'd up during a shinny game with other rookies. Not much really but hey its early September.
Tkachuk certainly isn't a quiet guy out there, pretty much chirping the whole time which is pretty awesome.
"What's Shrek saying over there?" haha

I think other teams' fan bases are quickly going to learn to hate him.

Tkachuk and Bennett on a line together just seems like destiny.

Just need another similar guy to put with them. I think Shinkaruk would make a lot of sense because of his attitude as well.
Tkachuk-Bennett-Shinkaruk sounds like a fun line.

Tkachuk always comes across as bit of a cocky ######, especially on the ice. that's good, I like that.
Unlike Phaneuf though he seems to have a real life personality.

I would like to see Ferland play with them. That pine would be a pain in the ass to play against

By "that pine" do you mean they'd be applying lumber to the opposition?

At first glance, I thought this said that it seems like "dentistry". Which may also apply...

I hated his Dad as a player, I hope that other teams fans hate his son just as much.

That's just it..
What makes Corey Perry so great and so hated is that he's a cocky prick on the ice, is tough to handle physically and goes hard to the net, and has the size.
Tkachuk posseses everyone of these qualities. Hopefully he becomes as hated as Perry by other teams, but is as important to the Flames as Perry is to the Ducks.

I have an irrational fear of Tkachuk turning out like Brett Hull (from a Flames perspective).

If it gets the Flames a cup, I don't care.

Hull was fat and unmotivated. Tkachuk seems to be the opposite, so I can see him playing a long time for us.

You're afraid of Tkachuck turning into the Brett Hull who played for the Flames and scored 50 points in 52 games in his first full season or you're afraid of him turning into the Hull that scored 1391 pts in 1269 games?
Strange... Fans and the NHL could only dream he'd turn out like Brett Hull.

Tkachuk for Bergeron. Would solve our right shot woes.

Traded for parts that secured a Stanley Cup? Where do I sign?
