When he heard the news that Tyler Seguin and Brent Burns were headed to SJ, Erik Karlsson knew what he had to do. You see, organizations like the Wild and Canadiens have strict grooming policies. "Clean shaven and buzz cuts" they were told. Well no more! Now they are in San Jose where they can be wild and roam free and get all the tattoos they want.

The Sharks have given up some solid assets in the last 3 days but you have to give to get. Having studs like Seguin, Burns and Karlsson will make for an entertaining season.

Took a while to punch this one over the goal line - but as usual Dave an I got 'er done.
Wanted to upgrade my top 2 forward lines - and getting Neal does that.
Trading EK is tough but I'm moving him from a position of strength, particularly after getting OEL earlier.
The two 1sts are the key here for me - and in particular the Toronto pick, which (no offense to Devo) I think could be a lottery selection.

Scandella fills out the ranks on the bottom pairing - and is an original Wild draftee.

Further to Grants post above, I completely agree with him and I don't think this trade happens if that was a different 1st. We knew it had potential to be a good one, we hope Toronto will prove us all wrong, but at the end of the day if it is a lottery pick we are OK with that because of the player we were able to trade for.

Will be fun to see how things roll out.

Kinda thinking this is a huge overpayment by MJK. SJ did get the best player, but yikes, that's way too much to give up for Karlsson IMO.
