It's summer so what the hell.
Firstly, hell no to the Hall trade being a benchmark. If Brad traded Johnny for a borderline top pair d-man, Calgary would implode. If you are doing 1 for 1, it has to be a top tier guy like OEL or Tarasenko. Trade him to Philly? Voracek I guess, but it better be Voracek +.

Gaudreau is basically a smaller, faster Colbourne so you must consider that when trying to estimate his trade value.

Well I don't think this is realistic it is a fun summer conversation.
I don't think the Hall trade is very relevant because it largely was based on the Oilers having a glaring need and therefore equal value wasn't going to be realized.
I think something like this from Philly would be the type of package:
- Provorov
- Schenn
- Pick/prospect

When my mind wanders, I often think of this. Sure, it's unlikely-- but something worth entertaining at this point in the summer with little else to discuss.
In this hypothetical situation, I would imagine teams he would want to got to (in order to be close to home): Philly, Bruins, Islanders, Rangers, Devils. I'm sure the Flames would want a sure fire, young impact player and a blue chip prospect as a starting base for a trade.
