Now this isn't to start making monetary wagers, but rather discuss your bets with friends (monetary or not) or to make friendly bets here.

To start off, I made a bet with a friend for $100 that Gaudreau will put up more points than McDavid this year. With McDavids durability and Gaudreau having put up good points but a lesser point per game, I think I'll take it. It's not a sure fire bet by any stretch but I like my odds.

I hate the Oilers just as much as everyone else here but you just lost $100 on that bet. McDavid will definitely beat Johnny.

A few years ago I bet a Canucks fan buddy a beer/point differential in the standings. That was the year of the Canucks President's trophy, and so I owed my buddy a whole flat of beer.

I delivered it at 7 am by kicking down his bedroom door and owning him with a super soaker, so I still kind of feel like the winner.

I always throw down $20 in Vegas for Flames to win the Cup.

I usually have side bets that the Flames will finish with more points than the Oilers.
